The M7 metro line also passes through the district of Kagithane, it currently links Mecidiyekoy to Mahmutbey with plans to extend from both ends so it can connect Kabatas all the way to Esenyurt in the future. The M2 metro line also links the districts of Sisli, Besiktas and Kagithane. The M2 currently connects Haciosman to Yenikapi with future plans to extend it from both ends to Bakirkoy and Sariyer.
