The M13 metro line is also currently under construction which is set to link Sancaktepe to Ümraniye with two interchange stations with the M8 metro line and the M5. Future projects also include the M34 rapid metro, currently in the planning stage. Once ready, it will connect the European side to the Asian, starting at Beylikdüzü and ending at the Sabiha Gökçen airport.
